From baby showers to wine tastings, our studio offers a refined setting for your next intimate soirée. With seating for 20+, and plenty of room to mingle, the space is flexible for you to set up however you like. This has been one of the most popular ways clients are using the space so far! With tons of natural light from windows on two walls, multiple areas to shoot in, and unique midcentury-modern inspired furniture and rare plants to utilize as props, we’ve had photographers and videographers spend all day creating here!


Wireless Internet: Free high-speed internet available throughout the space! (network: GurtonsWorkshop / password: Gworkshop)

Music: Download the Sonos app and play anything you’d like from our built-in Sonos speakers!

Conferencing Equipment: Portable dry-erase board and markers, portable 50” smart TV with built-in Chromecast and Apple TV for presentations, multiple charging stations.

Size: 1,000 square foot freestanding space.

Seating: Two tables that seat 8, one table that seats 6, one table that seats 4 (total table seating of 26). Comfortable leather and wooden chairs. Additional informal seating throughout the space: one couch and four lounge chairs .

Kitchenette: Ample prep space, refrigerator, freezer, wine cooler, microwave and sink.

Bathroom: Private onsite bathroom with hand dryer and changing table.

Private Office: The space includes an office area with desk, chair, and closing door.

Temp Control: Both heat and AC are available via remote control.

Great for Photography: Tons of natural light from floor to ceiling windows on two sides. Wood floors. Dark botanical-print wallpaper on two walls, clean white wall in the back.

Pre-stocked meeting!: Want us to stock the fridge or provide office supplies? Shoot us an email and we’ll send you our list of add-on’s that can be pre-stocked for your meeting or event.

How to get In

After you book, we’ll send you an invitation to August, our smart lock app. If you plan to book the workshop, you can download the August app and set up your account. The invite will allow you in and out of the space for your reservation, with access from your smart phone. (*Please make sure you put the correct phone number in for your reservation when you book; we are not responsible if you don’t receive the invite due to incorrect phone number.)

Organization + Clean-up

Any setting up and breaking down that’s needed for your workshop/class/photoshoot/event must be accounted for in the amount of time that you reserve. Please book more than just your “event time” to make sure you have some wiggle room to set up, clean up, and still get in and out on time. For clean-up, please leave the space how you found it. Another party might be coming in directly after your scheduled time, and they deserve to walk into a clean and ready-to-use space! (Fee for messes left behind: $50.)

Refunds + Rescheduling

Full refund issued if canceling 14 days or more prior to your event. 50% refund if cancelling 8-13 days out. No refund if canceling within 7 days of event.


Gurton’s Workshop is available to rent from 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week.

No Smoking!! (sERIOUSLY)

Please remember that this space is vital to our small family and we need to keep it spiffy! A $500 fine will be issued for any smells associated with smoking in the space, or if we catch you mo fo’s.


Free street parking is available in front of the building and on the neighboring streets.

For your safety and ours, there are 3 security cameras located on the premises.



We want the Workshop to be a safe place for all to enjoy—including our rare plant babies! So unfortunately, if you or members of your party damage one, you will be sent an invoice for the cost of the item. That said, you’re welcome to move any furniture or plants as long as it’s done carefully. (NOTE, please pick up plant stands if moving them—no dragging, the wooden legs will break!). Everything must be returned to its original location by the end of your rental.
